Echo Company, 23BN, Blackhorse Brigade, VDF

Hello and welcome to the home of Echo Company, 23rd Battalion of the Blackhorse Brigade.

Echo Company is based out of the Manassas National Guard Armory and serves as the Commonwealth's reserve military force for our hometown community in the greater Prince William-Fauquier-Fairfax County region.

Together with our sister companies in the 23rd Battalion and Blackhorse Brigade, the Virginia Defense Force serves our communities by providing trained military personnel to respond to the call of the Governor in time of need.

I encourage you to explore this website to learn what Echo Company is all about. We typically train one weekend day per month, with one annual weekend-long Field Training Exercise held at Fort Pickett in Blackstone, VA. Other annual exercises include participation in Multiple Unit Training Assemblies in Winchester, VA (April/ May), Ft. Pickett and other locations throughout the year.

We are in need of additional volunteers for our company, both prior service and non, who are looking to be a part of the Organized Militia of the Commonwealth of Virginia, authorized through the Virginia Department of Military Affairs.
